Disconnect a business inbox
- Open OpenAlly while signed in to the account that connected the business.
- Open WhatsApp Business, select the business and inbox, and choose Disconnect. Review the confirmation before continuing.
- If the app reports that disconnect is incomplete, retry from the same inbox. For a whole account, disconnect each connected number.
Disconnect remains available after Premium ends. It stops routing and erases that inbox’s temporary delivery, agent-control and outbox data. When the last connected number is removed, the service removes its account connection credentials and asks Meta to remove this app’s subscription. Minimal security records can remain to prevent stale requests restoring the connection.
Request deletion without the app
Email support@openally.ai with the subject WhatsApp Business data deletion. Tell us your OpenAlly account email, the business number including its country code, and whether you want a particular inbox or all your WABA service connections removed. If you have a Meta confirmation code, include it.
We verify that you own or are authorized to manage the connection before removing business data. We will explain any additional information needed and the result of the request. Do not include a password, access token, verification code, full payment-card number or copies of customer chats.
If you are a customer who messaged a business using OpenAlly, contact that business for deletion of its customer records. You can also contact us about information held by this connection service.

Requests started through Meta
If Meta offers a data-deletion request when you remove OpenAlly from its app or business-integration settings, Meta may send us a signed request. We remove the service connections and pending grants we can verify as belonging to that request, along with their temporary correspondence. Meta supplies a confirmation code and status link when that route is used.
A result of Complete means the matching service data for that authorization has been removed. No matching connection means we could not identify an associated service grant; it does not prove that every OpenAlly account or connection has been deleted. Use the in-app disconnect or verified support route in that case.
Processing means cleanup is still retrying. Save the code and refresh the status page later. Completed status records are available until 30 days from the request. A connection you authorize again after the request is a new connection and requires a separate removal.
Removing access in Meta can revoke permission without clearing records already held by this service. Complete an OpenAlly disconnect or contact support if you want those records removed too.
What these actions do not delete
- Your Meta business portfolio, WhatsApp Business account or phone number. Manage those assets directly with Meta.
- Messages already received by customers, and Meta’s own records.
- Working conversation history and business records stored on your OpenAlly device.
- Your OpenAlly account, Premium purchase or backups you saved, including copies in your own Google Drive.
Manage device history and backups separately in OpenAlly and the service where you saved them. Deleting your wider account uses the OpenAlly account-deletion route. Cancelling a subscription uses the purchase channel. These actions have different scopes.
Retention and follow-up
While you answer yourself, temporary correspondence that has not been removed earlier expires after seven days from its original receipt or preparation. While AI replies are on, the cloud copy of a conversation is kept for as long as the number stays connected and is erased on disconnect, on account deletion, or thirty days after a plan ends. Active connection and control metadata is separate from message bodies. Recovery copies, minimal deletion-security records, aggregate reliability counts, and any records required by law have the separate treatment explained in our retention notice.
Contact support@openally.ai if cleanup remains pending, a status link has expired, you no longer have access to the original device, or you need to exercise another privacy right. This service is operated by Matterward Labs Private Limited.
